KOH5HOW was born in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He learns from Mr. Tetsusaburo Hirai, who lives in Kamakura and develops multiple music genres while touching the local culture of Kamakura. Kohshow is dynamically influenced by his fun and inspiring music production.
He made his debut in 1983 with the world-famous musical “The Sound of Music” in Japan. He became impressed by the fun of the stage, acting and directing, and began musical activities on a full scale. The first few years he was a session musician for several famous singers such as . In 1990 he was the music director and played the piano at The Drifters tour of Japan. The people who know him appreciated his value, actually he received debut offers from many major labels, but he declined all the offers.
The concert called “Utagoe” that means singing voices in where participants singing all together with him is very famous contents for elderly people which run over 2,500 times from 2009 to 2020.
